Big Dude, Lil' Dude

Last Sunday was Jeff's birthday, so Graham picked out an appropriate outfit made by the hip local baby clothing press, Rebel Ink, to tell his dad just how much he loves him. "My Dad Rocks" was the theme of the day, which started with brunch on the gorgeous W.A. Frost patio. (Crab Cake Benedict, anyone? Mmm...)

What else did Graham get for Daddy? First, some back story.

For those who don't remember The Dude, let us fill you in. Jeff's brother Greg gave him an Ugly Doll a few years ago. Jeff named him The Dude. The day before Alisa was to leave for South Africa for two months, Jeff overnighted The Dude to Alisa so he could accompany her on her adventure. The Dude and Alisa had many adventures together, most notably a week-long African safari. A little movie documented their adventure so Jeff could watch it back home as he was pining away for Alisa and missing her madly (she was missing him madly, too, for the record). Anyway, in the last couple of years, The Dude has lived in relative quiet with Jeff and Alisa in their Minnesota home. He was starting to get a little bit lonely and wanted a Dude of his own to love. This is where Graham's gift comes in. (See below)
Now Big Dude has a Lil' Dude to love! Just like Daddy has his lil' dude to love!

Jeff's birthday was a happy day. He also celebrated it by doing yard work and weeding in the sweltering heat, which he apparently thought was fun. Go figure.
