This weekend it has been a lovely 50-something degrees and sunny. St. Paulites (and Minneapolites) are out in full force, frolicking, happy, walking their dogs, kids splashing in puddles of melting snow, with all of us generally acting like fools who have been cooped up all winter. Of course, we have been.
We celebrated today with a walk along the Mississippi River, Graham riding on Daddy's shoulders, which he loves.
Then it was off to Izzy's Ice Cream, my favorite ice cream spot in the Twin Cities. Graham had his first taste of ice cream today! First flavors were chai and Italian strawberry (the fruit was first marinated in basalmic vinegar). I know those sound like high falutin flavors for a young boy's first taste of ice cream, but it was what mom and dad ordered, and let me just tell you that they were taaaaaasty. We also learned that Izzy's makes a wicked Graham Cracker Ice Cream, which you'd better believe we will be serving at Graham's upcoming 1st birthday party.
Apologies for the poor quality of the last couple of posts; they were taken with my cell phone.

You know you're a true St Paulite if Izzy's is your favorite ice cream :)
